I feel as if a curtain
is being drawn
shutting off my chance
to connect with
the rest of the world
my world
I feel disconnected
and though I struggle
to shake off this feeling
of dread
I encounter a hollowness
I'm empty
Doors are closing
doors I fought to
keep open
All the lost chances
piling up against them
locking me in
and I don't care
anymore
